Blending cozy and macabre, this historical based illustration features teacups, a skull, and flowers with woven elements to give a gothic, magical feeling. Out of the two concepts given blending tea and alchemy themes, the first was chosen and further refined.
The ending illustration adds orange slices, flowers, moths, ginko biloba, and a scale - bringing together little details from teh book for readers. Typography and final edits are finished by 47North Publishing House.
